The Scorpion HKIII-4025 Series Motor is designed for using on 600 class helicopters running on 6 to 12-cell Li-Po power. This motor represents the most technologically advanced power source ever offered for a 600 class electric helicopter.

Scorpion Competition Series Brushless Motors are built from the best materials available, and are designed to provide both quality and performance at an affordable price. Scorpion starts with high quality aluminum alloy parts that are produced on the latest CNC milling machines. These parts are then gold Electro-Coated to provide a beautiful, long-lasting finish. The stators are made with 0.2mm laminations to give maximum efficiency, and minimum Eddy current losses. The stators are epoxy coated to prevent shorts, and are wound with wire that is rated at 180 degrees C (356 F). The magnets used in Scorpion Motors are custom manufactured to be able to withstand high temperatures, making a motor that is virtually impossible to burn up in normal use.

Scorpion Motors are built to last, and are backed with a 2-Year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. However, due to the high RPM of these motors, and the fact that we cannot control the installation and setup, the bearings are not covered by the 2-Year warranty, nor is any subsequent damage caused to the motor by a bearing failure. Bearings are a normal wear item, and as such, need to be maintained and changed periodically. For maximum life, make sure that a sufficient gap is left between the pinion and main gear during motor installation to avoid binding, and put a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure that the bearings are maintained properly.

For the best overall combination of quality, performance, and value, use Scorpion Motors in your helicopter!

We received the Scorpion HKIII-4035-560Kv Motor directly from Scorpion. Since the purpose of getting this motor was to review it, it did not include the Scorpion Tin and molded insert that the Scorpion Motors typically are packaged in.

Upon receiving the HKIII 4025-1100kv you will notice scorpion does a beautiful job packaging their motors. They come in a nice tin with foam protecting the motor. Taking the motor out of the foam the scorpion gold quality is felt right away. Very strong magnets, nicely CNC gold and black can and smooth bearings. Quality product for sure. Scorpion has also preinstalled male end bullets on the motor that will save you a few minutes soldering.

Included also in the box is a small bag with the motor bolts, heat shrink, and female ends to solder onto your ESC. AND, of course some SCORPION sticker SWAG for your canopy or frames.

Installing the motor into a 550 size airframe was pretty straight forward. Included motor screws and motor mounting holes were a perfect fit into the 550. I found that the motor wires were the perfect length for my setup, no need to shorten them at all. Just soldered on the female ends to the esc and finished up with heat shrinking them to keep them from contacting each other, or the carbon frames. Simple!!!

For this 550 setup a 6s 45c 5000 pack was used, 120HV esc and the 1100kv motor of course.

For hard 3d performance and high head speed this golden gem really delivers! Never missed a beat! It will take anything you can throw and it, and even's efficient too!

We were able to get 4 minutes of hard flying no problem with this motor, packs cool, esc cool, motor temp very reasonable considering the flights. This motor has gotten lots of flights on it by now and it still performs exactly the way it did out of the box.

Scorpion recommends oiling the bearings every 5-6 flights, it's been done after every session at the field.
Everything is still extra smooth, loads of bog-less POWER! Excellent perfomer for a 550 6s machine.

Extremely impressed overall.

If you’ve been into radio control for any time at all, I’m sure you have heard of Scorpion Motors.

Georges takes great pride in delivering quality, extremely reliable products. Not only do they produce amazing efficient power, you can’t beat the quality, durability, POWER, and customer service scorpion provides.

They really are in a league of its own. As for the HKIII-4025-1100kv motor, there simply is nothing bad to say about it at all, just an all around fantastic product that really delivers the raw performance us RC Helicopter guys love so much.
